A good chair

The most important thing I own that I never look at, because I’m always sitting on it.

01 Why

You spend more hours in a chair than in almost anything else you’ll buy. It seems mad to economise on the thing holding your spine up.

02 What I look for

Support where my back actually bends, arms that get out of the way, and adjustments I’ll set once and then forget forever.

03 What I’ve learned

The best chair is the one you notice least at the end of the day. A close second is one that looks good empty.
